The author list for the National Book Festival is up! I am hosting September's book club, and I was thinking of choosing a book written by one of the authors who will be at the festival this year (and perhaps attending that person's talk). Fellow book club members, any preferences?

My brother recently mentioned that he recommends that people read one or more books by Walter Dean Myers to get a bit of an understanding of what it's like to grow up as an urban black male. My sister also raves about him from her standpoint as a middle school English teacher. Might be an interesting pick! Lois Lowry also jumps out -- funny that i was drawn to the teen section right away!

We haven't done a biography in a while. How about Walter Isaacson - either Einstein or Steve Jobs.
