freedom!

I love the SwaddleMe blankets. I don't know what we would do without them. But, sometimes I go into Mason's room, and I see this.

No matter how tightly I pull the material and how many times I check to make sure it's secure, my big, strong boy manages to break out. And he's been doing this since he was four days old.

I first heard about these on pioneer woman's blog. I gave some to my niece when she had a baby a couple of years ago. She told me they were by far her most favorite item. She still uses them today as a light cover. I enjoy reading all the updates about Mason can't wait to meet him.

These are my favorite too. Maevy used to do the same thing..one arm out. I think I all babies like to be swaddled, but also like to sleep with their hands/arms by their heads.

Mason's such a little sugarpie! Olivia loved being swaddled and usually stayed put for the most part. After she started wiggling out of the swaddle, we moved onto the Woombie. She loooved those things. Heck, I think I would've liked one for myself! I also like Aden and Anais swaddling blankets too. They were great for swaddling and are now a nice light blanket for O.

I loved them too for my grandsons. But just so you know if they ever all need to be laundered. you make a triangle out of a receiving blanket. Place the baby in the wide strip with his feet leading to the point. Fold the point up to his torso. Wrap the left hand side tightly around the baby. Then wrap the right hand side around the baby tucking in the blanket to secure the wrap. They will break free and eventually break totally free from the wrap. That is when you know they no longer need or desire it.

Houdini! I say you draw the line when he wants to be dangled upside-down while he tries to get out. ;)
